Welcome to the gentler half of my creative world.
The Logbook of Captain Sea Ripples is a growing collection of children’s stories and illustrated reflections — rooted in wonder, silence, and the in-between spaces of growing up.
These stories are written with the belief that children’s literature doesn’t need to be loud to be meaningful. They speak softly, like waves — and sometimes carry questions we’re still learning how to ask.
The Logbook of Captain Sea Ripples is a picture book series for children (and nostalgic adults) told from the perspective of a quiet, clever young pirate with a wild imagination.
Blending bedtime calm with absurd adventures, each book is a self-contained story filled with humor, soft tension, and poetic language — a gentle kind of storytelling that drifts between dream and play.
Originally invented as nighttime tales for the author’s son, these stories are now available in three languages: English, Italian, and Croatian.
Book #1: The Balloonists and the Peculiar Treasure
“If I hadn’t been a young pirate, I’d have been a young balloonist.”
The first book in the series introduces the loyal crew of the Sea Pig, the strange Lemonheads, and an unforgettable treasure hidden beneath an olive tree — reached only by flying balloon, of course.
